Scripture for meditation

‘Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary(lonely) in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. O God, when You went out before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself  was moved  at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor.’ Psalms 68:4-10 NKJV

 ‘On the land of my people will come up thorns and briers, Yes, on all the happy homes in the joyous city; Because the palaces will be forsaken, The bustling city will be deserted. The forts and towers will become lairs forever, A joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks— Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest.’ Isaiah 32:13-15 NKJV

We will be praying the above scriptures today! Asking God to pour His rain on us and for the wilderness and dry places in our lives to become fruitful.

1. Father, we dance and rejoice before you this morning. You are our LORD! Our defender. Our Father! Thank you Lord for setting us all in families (both biological, spiritual and social)! You have broken our bondages and prospered us. Praise the Lord!
2. Oh Lord, go before us and walk through the wilderness of our lives today in Jesus name. All the dry places left behind as a result of disobedience and ignorance, Father pour out the rain of your Spirit on it in Jesus name.
3. Every dry area in my marriage, career, health and business begins to flourish as the rain (Holy Spirit) is poured out and it brings divine wisdom, inspiration and breakthroughs in Jesus name
4. Father, we have been occupied up till now by thorns and briers (unfruitfulness) and our city inhabited by wild donkeys and stray animals (demonic oppression) but today, we ask for an outpouring of your Spirit and we have become a fruitful field overflowing with abundance and free of oppression in Jesus name.
5. O Lord, walk through my life today in the name of Jesus and set right all that is contrary to the indwelling of your Spirit in Jesus name

The Holy Spirit being poured out as rain in our lives saturates us with God’s Presence and everything contrary to His will in our lives has to bow. God is doing a shaking of mountains in our lives today and an outpouring of His Spirit to turn the dryness we have been experiencing in our spiritual lives and physical lives into fruitfulness for His glory today.

Don’t be afraid, only believe that God is set to make you fruitful!

Scripture for meditation

Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!

He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.

Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.

You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!

Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.

Psalm 23:1-6 TLB

Our declarations for today come from one of the most popular Psalms in the Bible. Many do not realize it is not just a Psalm we are taught in Sunday School but also a powerful prayer confession covering provision, guidance and protection. We will be praying it today!

1. Father, I follow you and obey you as my Shepherd. I am your child and I have everything I need in Jesus name. I do not lack any good thing in my life in Jesus name (Psalm 34:10)
2. Oh Lord, as I walk with you in the quiet streams of life, I receive strength in my inner man to walk the path of righteousness for your glory in Jesus name. Your Holy Spirit strengthens me to live the life of holiness and righteousness you purposed for me from the beginning of time in Jesus name (Ephesians 2:10)

4. I declare that with all the increasing evil in the world today, myself and my family will not fall prey to the fear the enemy is selling in Jesus name. We submit to your guidance and direction and know that no evil will befall us and no plague will come near our homes in Jesus name (Psalm 91:10)
5. Thank you Jesus for daily provision in every area of my life. Thank you Lord for overflowing blessings that the enemy cannot stop in Jesus name. Thank you Father for I walk in the blessings of Abraham and I am a source of blessing to all around me in Jesus name.
6. Oh Lord, show me mercy in all areas of my life that I deserve judgement in Jesus name. I repent of every way I have disobeyed you and ask that you show mercy in Jesus name. We approach your throne of grace and ask that you show mercy in Jesus name (Hebrews 4:16)
7. Father, help me to live my life in constant awareness of your Holy Spirit that is always with you. Help me to understand that eternal life and communion starts on this earth for me and help me to never stray from your Presence in Jesus name.
8. Spend time thanking Him for answered prayers

We are starting off our 5 days of prayer and fasting today!

‘ MAKE A joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing!  Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. [Eph. 2:10.]  Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!  For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.’ Psalm 100:1-5 AMPC

Today, we are opening the gates into this week with praises and thanksg

 

iving for all God has done and will do this week.

1. Write 5 prayer requests
2. Spend at least 30minutes in praise and thanksgiving to our God for His goodness today and in rejoicing over the requests.
3. Meditate on the scripture for meditation and use it as a prayer of thanksgiving to Him.

God is going to do the following with today’s prayer/praise:

• He will break the chains and bonds of His children who thank Him with bold faith. ‘Oh, that men would give thanks to the  Lord    for  His goodness, And  for  His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.’ Psalms 107:15-16
• He will come into your life with His manifest Presence which brings joy! “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalms 16:11 NKJV

           “But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3 NKJV

• Praise would pull down all the obstacles keeping us from the promises of God for us. “So the people s
  houted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20
