Day 2: The sheep’s prayer declarations

Scripture for meditation

Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!

He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.

Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.

You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!

Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.

Psalm 23:1-6 TLB

Our declarations for today come from one of the most popular Psalms in the Bible. Many do not realize it is not just a Psalm we are taught in Sunday School but also a powerful prayer confession covering provision, guidance and protection. We will be praying it today!

  1. Father, I follow you and obey you as my Shepherd. I am your child and I have everything I need in Jesus name. I do not lack any good thing in my life in Jesus name (Psalm 34:10)
  2. Oh Lord, as I walk with you in the quiet streams of life, I receive strength in my inner man to walk the path of righteousness for your glory in Jesus name. Your Holy Spirit strengthens me to live the life of holiness and righteousness you purposed for me from the beginning of time in Jesus name (Ephesians 2:10)
  3. I declare that with all the increasing evil in the world today, myself and my family will not fall prey to the fear the enemy is selling in Jesus name. We submit to your guidance and direction and know that no evil will befall us and no plague will come near our homes in Jesus name (Psalm 91:10)
  4. Thank you Jesus for daily provision in every area of my life. Thank you Lord for overflowing blessings that the enemy cannot stop in Jesus name. Thank you Father for I walk in the blessings of Abraham and I am a source of blessing to all around me in Jesus name.
  5. Oh Lord, show me mercy in all areas of my life that I deserve judgement in Jesus name. I repent of every way I have disobeyed you and ask that you show mercy in Jesus name. We approach your throne of grace and ask that you show mercy in Jesus name (Hebrews 4:16)
  6. Father, help me to live my life in constant awareness of your Holy Spirit that is always with you. Help me to understand that eternal life and communion starts on this earth for me and help me to never stray from your Presence in Jesus name.
  7. Spend time thanking Him for answered prayers
